Mindset limits skill set. Skill set limits mindset.

Here’s a new formula for you. A formula I try to preach day in, day out through my writing.

OUTPUT  =  MIN (MINDSET , SKILL SET)

What does this really mean?

Simple. You are only as good as the lesser of your skills or mindset.

If you have no limiting beliefs, your output is limited by your skillset.

If this is me, I need to learn from practicing day in, day out.

I want to be here.

If you have limiting beliefs, your output is limited by your mindset.

If this is me, I need to change my environment.

I do not want to be here.

Both things take time and effort to change. Neither are easy to master.

Improve mindset by …

1. Surround yourself with the right people

2. Reflect daily

3. Write

Writing about mindset helps me be more thoughtful and reflective of day-to-day interactions in life.

Whether you like what happened to you or not from something/someone, there is often a take home. That can be applied to future situations.

As I write and share about it, I start to see similarities and principles that arise.

These help me unlock a higher power mindset.

What about skills?

1. Do the practice (aka work) daily

2. Learn from people that have done it

3. Read and learn

I never want to be limited by my beliefs. Because, then, well, skills don’t matter. I also want to be an artisan. The best at my craft.

Skills matter.
